A downloadable soundtrack

For this jam, I decided to try something different and stepped out of my usual setup by composing in LMMS, a first for me in a jam context, and a DAW I hadn't touched in almost a year. Reacquainting myself with its workflow quirks was part of the fun, and honestly, that slight unfamiliarity pushed me toward a different approach to composing than I'd normally take, which felt very in the spirit of this jam. I tried to keep to my usual 8-track layout for ambience, but ended up needing one extra due to the different workflow and some half-remembered steps.

I ended up writing two ambient pieces, both in G Phrygian and at the same tempo. During the process I had Kale's SFX playing in the background as a reference, though I muted them for the final export. Both tracks are designed to be loopable.
Scene 2 ran a bit longer than I originally intended, but it found its own shape along the way.

Scene 1 follows the moment you tumble off a raft and find yourself inside a cave, one that shouldn't exist, filled with alien technology humming quietly in the dark.

Scene 2 captures something more unsettling: a storm being born, not from nature, but from a machine. It feels almost unnatural, and yet strangely familiar, like something you've witnessed in the wild before. But this is different. There's no chaos here, no randomness. It feels deliberate, almost surgical, as if aimed at planetary reconstruction rather than destruction.
